About Me
From age 7 to 70, science teacher to financial advisor to recording artist, mine has been an interesting journey. Music has comforted me, challenged me, and saved me through the years.
The world seems crazy at times, so if you’re hungering for music that carries messages of encouragement, hope and true connection of our human family please visit my Shop to sample or purchase my album “Positively Me!” – a debut album of original POSI-tive music.
“Positively Me!”
Album Track 13, “Don’t Stop the Start” received an Honorable Mention in the 2020 emPower Music & Arts Festival
After 36 years in my financial planning practice, I felt it was time to give wings to all the music in me that has been waiting to fly.
Being influenced by recording artists such as Jana Stanfield, Sue Riley, Daniel Nahmod, and David Roth (all writers of ‘positive-lyric’ songs) my heart became tuned to music with uplifting and healing messages.
Phyllis Pulver ~ Positively Me! is my debut album, magnificently engineered and mastered by Mark Dann of Woodstock, NY. May it bring encouragement and joy to all who listen.
ENDORSEMENTS
“Great lyrics, perfect diction, excellent recording quality. Solidly constructed songs. I especially love the strings, how they build. Fine work.” ~ Matt Finley ♫ Kingsmill Music
“Wow! It’s beautiful. So many great songs on there. I especially love ‘Let Me Fall to Peace’ and would like to teach it to my singers for meditation during church. And ‘I Am a Prism’ – what a beautiful song and arrangement, Phyllis. Thanks so much for including me!” ~ Sue Riley
“Phyllis’s style is that of beautiful melodies, well sung, with lyrics that acknowledge the challenges of life while finding wisdom in them that we can all share in harmony. Each time you listen to these songs the lesson goes deeper as you hear the layers of meaning in each line, in each verse, in each chorus. Her voice is so lovely and so pleasing – strong, clear, soothing, and inspiring. All this from a 70-year-old with the talents to blend melody and message together. I’ve listened to a lot of albums and a lot of good songs. This album is very, very special, and important.” ~ Jana Stanfield
“Congratulations! It was like a soundtrack from a Disney movie, and I mean that in the best way…such interesting chord changes, arrangements, your lead vocal was tender and emotive throughout. I hope it takes you everywhere you want to go…including back to us at the CCSR and SummerSongs time and time again. Love, David Roth”
